Structural Engineering

Our structural engineers have vast field experience extending to new construction, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, renovation, and repair of distressed structures.  CEI uses the latest REVIT and AutoCAD software included in the Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium.  In addition to BDS (REVIT) software, our structural engineers and designers use Adapt-PT & Builder, RISA Floor & 3D, Enercalc and ETABS programs.  Our engineers have a thorough understanding of the latest building codes and specialized knowledge of the National & Maryland Historic Trusts and Baltimore City CHAP regulations.

Civil Engineering

Our civil department has extensive experience completing work throughout the Baltimore-Washington region.  CEI stays abreast of the most up-to-date stormwater management and erosion/sediment control regulations, and we expertly navigate permit approval processes even in sensitive locations, such as Chesapeake Bay Critical Area sites.  CEI is familiar with civil standards at the local, state, and federal levels, and we work closely with MDE.  We use Autodesk Civil 3D software, as well as KY Pipe, AutoTURN and industry standard Hydraulic Computation programs such as HEC-RAS, TR-20, and TR-55.

Landscape Architecture

Our landscape architecture department coordinates closely with our civil team to create unified projects that are functional and aesthetically pleasing.  We provide site feasibility studies, forest stand delineation and forest conservation plans, oversight for land-use designs, erosion/sediment control plans, and landscape plans.  Our team is familiar with the latest regulations of environmental analysis and planning, site investigation, design development, and construction document review. With knowledge of local jurisdictions, CEI manages projects efficiently through permit approval.
