Carroll Engineering has provided a variety of civil, structural, and landscape architectural designs for several renovation projects at M&T Bank Stadium. Built in 1998, the facility encompasses 180,000 SF and seats 71,000. CEI prepared designs to upgrade the stadium’s delivery ramp, which showed visible signs of cracking in the existing pavement and along the gabion wall. Designs included replacement of the existing asphalt surface with concrete, renovation of an associated guard building, pedestrian circulation, a mechanically driven bollard system, guardrail modifications, and sidewalks.
The plaza renovation included civil, structural, and landscape architecture designs for the installation of two statues and upgrades to the entire paved area at the North entrance. Our team prepared several concept plans and coordinated with MSA to review possible designs. Renovations included new decorative pavers, utility relocation, feature lighting, statue footprints and foundations, site circulation, and ADA accessibility.
The Ravens Walk is a pedestrian route through the stadium complex that connects both M&T Bank Stadium and Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Renovations to the walk included civil and structural designs for new metal gateways, an underground rainwater harvesting tank, solar canopies, and a variety of site elements, including pavers, benches, and seat walls.
