Baltimore, MD

80,300 SF

Completed 2016

Moved to its current Baltimore location in 1939, the Talmudical Academy is a Jewish day school that first opened in New York City in 1917.  With enrollment on the rise, Talmudical is now expanding to include new high school and preschool buildings on the Baltimore campus.  Carroll Engineering is currently providing structural designs for the construction of this 80,300-GSF project.

Totaling 42,800-SF, the new high school will be a 2-story building, featuring a gymnasium, classrooms, administrative offices, a kitchen and dining area, science laboratories, and an area for prayer and study.  The 3-story preschool, totaling 37,500-GSF, will feature classrooms and a multipurpose recreation room, as well as outdoor playground facilities.  CEI will provide structural designs including steel framing, load-bearing CMU walls, roof framing, shallow spread foundations, and connection details.
